Why do all the discussions in the news and by Republicans and Democrats about this latest amnesty bill keep dodging the real problem? All I hear is that there is a problem with how many people get to come in to America in the subsequent years. There is a problem with sending just the head of household back home. $5000 is too much money, how will we verify; who will do the background checks; blah blah blah!!
This is my problem:
I'm tired of being called a racist because I want the border to be, well, an actual border, iinstead of just a stupid demarkation line.
24 years ago I made $5 an hour swinging a hammer. Now for illegal aliens, it's $8 an hour. Now that I'm out of the military, I can't get a damn job in the construction industry because I can't afford to have my family live in a carboard box, while I compete for low wages.
My teenage daughers can't get a job at burger king doing those jobs only illegal aliens will do because the restaurant owners are paying people less than minimum wages under-the-table. They don't have to pay all the various siphoning taxes.
When my father was stationed in California in the '70s, illegal aliens broke into our house weekly. In the nighttime they peaked into my sisters windows. In the day time they always walked up and asked me if I had a sister. But now, they are blowing cops away, raping women, selling drugs, and shooting eachother in front of our houses.
I'm fed up with the school board requiring my daughters to learn Spanish even though they already speak two languages. This is America, not El Salvador. Does America have such a shortage of Spanish speaking people that my children are REQUIRED by the government to learn it?
The Republican party that I wrote off after a long train of their compromises and all the crap sandwiches they have forced me and my family to eat can fall out of their penthouses and live down here.
I won't vote for one of them. And no, I won't vote for one even if some radio talk show host tells me I'm screwing the country by being pig-headed about a couple of issues. I also won't vote for one if someone shows me the math of how my not voting for a Republican "that can win" is going to "put someone far worse" in office.
The Republican party left me. They compromised. I'm conservative. I vote for what I believe is right. I have always voted consistently conservatiuve and they are the ones who have changed.
When I see a Lincoln Republican, or let me compromise on that; one that believes in and can articulate a staunch support of each of the Republican party platforms without trying to play both sides of the issue by saying "well I'm hate abortion but I support a woman's right to choose", then I'll consider voting for them after I look at their record, listen to all they say, and try with all I have to determine what kind of person they are.
This big-tent thing has done a serious disservice to the Republican base and the whole country. All it did was allow the left to go even farther left because center is now considered "almost looney left". And this is not due to the liberals. We have always known that if they had it their way, all children would have their own sex channels, drugs would be issued to them by the state, and the only ones who would be allowed to have money are those in charge of the New Order. And because of the compromises that have been made, this kind of garbage is becoming a reality.
I hold the Republican's responsible for the left-step-march of this country and the downward spiral of our culture. Get out of office you spineless back-stabbers. You eat compromise for breakfast.
