As I ponder that question, I wonder what it means to be conservative. I mean, doesn't 'uncompromising principles' fall under the category of conservatism? Isn't it true that compromise and political calculation are liberal institutions?
How is this for conservatism, in case it hasn't been engraved in stone? - Do what's right and let the chips fall where they may.
Or? - If we get a worse government as a result of not allowing ourselves to become corrupt, then we have done what we are supposed to do, my conscience is good. God will prevail.
Any of you out there who say "I'm a conservative, but I'll vote for a liberal to stop someone who is worse", those things in your hand are called a sickle and hammer. The stuff you are losing is called your soul, your children, your earnings and your savings. And the things you need to do are to pull your damn pants up and stop helping the Democratic and Republican left!
